AARP, AARP Foundation, Nationwide Insurance, Jeff Gordon, and Marcus Johnson Work Together to End Hunger

March 1, 2011 Silver Spring, MD – Jeff Gordon, AARP, The AARP Foundation, and Marcus Johnson have teamed up to halt one of the biggest issues in the US: hunger. The extensive campaign, “Drive to End Hunger” is charging Americans to donate so that the statistics might diminish.

AARP and Jeff Gordon navigate the initiative with an enlightening website that allows contributors to donate directly on the website or through cellular phone donation. Marcus Johnson willingly donated the song, “Puzzle” to the feature video clip, to help spread the word about hunger and the surprising yet heart wrenching facts related to senior citizens.

“I think this is a big deal,” said Marcus Johnson, “Older adults have worked hard enough and should not have to wonder if they will eat on any given day.” According to AARP, more than six million seniors face the threat of hunger everyday.
